Ok fine.
The boat got damaged in the fall (very minor) and the shop that did the damage is of course fixing it on their dime . I just wish they had been able to get it done between November and April, rather than waiting until now when all the fiberglass guys are out straight. We’re out for a few weekends anyway, so we wouldn’t be using the boat either way. I just really hope it’s done by the time I really want it because this summer is going to feel very short.
I’ve been in touch with them so they know what my deadline is. The guy who runs service is a friend and we go out wakeboarding a lot together... he also has the same boat as me but 8 years newer, so I can always use his boat. Or any one of 5-10 other boats I know I could use with only a text message to the owner at most... so we won’t suffer. Still, it’s making me anxious.
